Missing Command?

I was looking in the help section and asked about rotating a dimension within a text. I'm currently using Inventor Professional 2019. The article stated if I wanted to rotate the text of a dimension to go to Annotate tab, Dimension panel and Text Angle. My ribbon doesn't have Text Angle in the Dimension panel. Am I missing a hotfix or update? I tried to do it through editing the text but the rotate command in the text editor is grayed out so I know that isn't the solution. Why am I missing this command in my program?

Update: I went back to find that article and it is for AutoCAD! Good grief! Why can't I just right-click on the thing and have a rotate text option? Don't understand why Inventor has to be so difficult on the smallest of things. If it can be done in AutoCAD why not Inventor? Driving me nuts and it's a short trip!

@drileyPJ9YZ   Welcome to the forum.

With Inventor, there is no RC and rotate the dimension.  Everything with dimensions is handled in the styles manager under the manage tab.  Depending on how often you need to do this, you might want to create a few new styles with various rotations, text sizes or fonts or even units.  Below is a pic of where you can change your orientations.

Hi Scott,

Your statement is true as of Inventor 2020 and earlier. On Inventor 2021, Rotate dimension and edge align dimension are supported. Please take a look.

Hi Johnson,

Ok, I see what you are saying, but now with your point it now brings up the question as to what the OP is talking about when it comes to rotation.  I took his statements to mean the rotation of the dimension text within the arrow extensions.  Not the entire dimension rotating.  I guess we will need him to clarify.

IMO Inventor has made this quite easy and all controlled by a single dimension style.

While having a right click..select rotation option would seem easy when you just have a single dimension now imagine needing to do that for 200 dimensions.

Most often this is also a personal preference or standard practice followed and people are very consistent with that. So you simply set your preference one time and ALL dimensions will match that.

I'd bet its quite uncommon for someone to need to rotate dimension text as a normal occurrence like that so I can fully understand why there isn't a quick way to override a single dimension text orientation.

As shown in the images by @Cadmanto  above just edit your dimension style and set the desired rotation and ALL dimensions will follow that and you will be a consistent drafter.

It takes a few seconds/a few mouse clicks and you are done and shouldn't ever need to modify that again for your entire career..
