Hi, is it possibile to set data/description for a particoilar feature and recall it in the drawing?

Example:

I have 10 holes, all with same specs, but I would like to "name" each of these holes, es:

Hole1> K11

Hole2> K11A

Hole3> K11B

etc

Then I would like to recall these data in the drawing (position mounting references)

I would like to do that for holes but for features in general too.

DO you have any idea?  Thank you!

Hi @bespel,

The Screencast plugin will allow you to capture a video of your work with command information in-context.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast

I hope this helps.

Hi Xun,

thank you, but I don't need the Screencast .

The case is, (I hope) clear.

Otherwise, let me know.

Thanks!

How about a 3D annotation in the model and then use the Retrieve Model Annotation command in the drawing?

I tried the Leader Text tool in a quick part model.  It seems to work ok.  I had to take care to make sure that the 3D annotation plane was parallel to the drawing view plane I planed to use.

You can certainly change the name of each feature to be what you want (replace the name of Hole1 with K11B, for example).  But I don't know how to access these names in the annotations.

Hi! This might be doable via iLogic rule but I am not 100% sure. In theory, you can rename the Hole feature to KA1 or something like that. Then add the feature name to a leader node.

Many thanks!

Great!

Someone has an example of this iLogic code?

Thanks!
