I have never had a problem, but you have to be carefull that you are not
measuring from what you think is the center or center line of a hole when in
fact you have selected the surface of a hole.

I don't know about reliability of the measurement, but sometimes it just
plain doesn't work.
If you try to select a face, it selects and highlights the complete
part/subassembly.
A timely fix for this would be greatly appreciated, Autodesk.

You might want to change the priority of the selection from assembly to part
or feature or face from the drop down menu on the main tool bar under
"Select".

There is also a selection filter on the actual measure tool. Click the icon
on the left next to the distance readout area

I'm not too sure about it when you turn the precision to "all decimals".

I can have a sketch with an angle of 92 degrees on it. When measured with the tool set at "all decimals" it will be off. I just checked one now and got:
92.000000000000042632564145606011 degrees.

Length is the same way.

see the previously attached thread, post 1 and try for yourself. i also see on a regular basis, measuring from a face, coming off at an angle instead of perpedicular to that face

Ok, 'll look into that Blair, but.... I haven't touched this at all so far
since IV6.5
Something is different about IV11 measure tool, if I use measure distance,
why would it select a complete component or assembly? and if so, where on
that component/assembly whould it be measuring from?
Add to that, why does it occur sometimes and other times not?
It's these things which cause me to assume the feature is broke.
