Material not updating in Part List

I am working on a part with 2 different model states. Material assigned to the same was steel, mild before.

I changed the material to Stainless, Steel now. This part is being used in an assembly. Part list is still showing old material & not getting updated. I have checked both the model states & material assigned is "Stainless Steel" to them.

But on Drawing Part list is displaying material as "Steel, Mild".

Any help on how to get the right material on part list would be appreciated. I am attaching part model below.

Thanks!!

I don't have much experience with model states, but I found something that made it work for me.

Change edit scope so you only edit one at a time -> Change material on both model states individually to something else and then back to stainless steel.

It seems factory scope doesn't deal well with materials.

As mentioned above, you have factory edit enabled. Editing a material will edit for ALL model states.

So in this case, I'm only editing No flare

In this case I'm editing all

You can toggle single and factory edit by clicking the grey pencil.

Edit: Sorry, this isn't your issue, it's the parts list that's the problem.

I think it's just got stuck, it says it was previously created in 2021? Not sure if the migration had an effect.

If you change it to completely different material and go to the drawing it updates.

The way I did it was,

Change it so that each model state has a different material.
Go to drawing, it updates
Back to part, change it so both model states have stainless
Go to drawing, it updates.

Hopefully this fixes it for you.

Wow, this was driving me crazy!  So the only way to properly assign materials to parts with multiple model states is (currently until this bug is fixed?) to assign the materials individually to each model state, NOT with edit factory selected.

THANK YOU for figuring out a way to work around this bug!!
