Linking Content Center to Dropbox

Hello,

I have an issue concerning the content center with Inventor.
All our projects are on Dropbox which causes only one issue the link to nuts, bolts, ... go missing whenever my colleague opens one of my projects which is normal since the content center is stored locally.
Is there a way to put all nuts, bolts and all the other stuff that you can find there in one folder in our Dropbox, which we could link inventor to.

Thanks in advance,

I think the only way to do what you aretrying to do would be with Pack and Go.

Change where Content Centre files are stored.

  • Set up the folder in Dropbox
  • Copy the files from each workstation where they have previously existed (be careful of directory structure)
  • Change everyone's Application Options > File > Default Content Center files to that location.

This should work without a hiccup (I say from a safe distance!).

Hi! In order to make it work, I believe the DropBox location has to be mapped as a logical drive. If the file path is a cloud drive, Inventor will not be able to interact with it.

Many thanks!
