Line snapping while sketching

hello,

Let me start by telling you i have read thru atleast 5 threads before asking this question.

I am simply sketching and i find that my point snapping is very controlling. It wants to start my line at even interval numbers like  x.125 and y .250 (not acceptable) or at endpoints of existing lines in the sketch ( this is acceptable) i have open. example: i cannot start a line in a random point of space say x 3.3655 and y2.1375 it will always snap to the even number closest.

What setting can i change to get around this ?

Hi! I believe it is related to snapping distance. Go to Tools -> Document Settings -> Sketch -> change the snap distance for both X and Y directions.

Many thanks!

Can you go ahead and complete a part (using whatever technique) and attach it here?

Hi @Anonymous,

You can just turn the snapping off using this button, if that helps:

hope this helps.
