Regarding the help file for the following:

  • There is written to "Turn off Adaptive".

Me is not clear if this is meant within the Assembly:

Or Within the Part:

Or Maybe Both?

 

It would make sense for me to leave the Adaptivity on in the assembly on (To see where the Adaptivity comes from and to avoid multiple definitions) but to turn the adaptive feature off in the Part.

Hi! I don't think it really matters that much. Think of the adaptive flag as a door to allow Inventor to compute the model data. Each level represents how deep or how fine-tuned you want to be. If you want to avoid the adaptive compute penalty, you may want to uncheck the adaptive flag in the hosting assembly so that Inventor will not try to compute the model data (the door is closed).
