Is this a bug? Or have I missed a setting?

Hi all,

I was about to create a new part in a assembly when I stumbled on this:

As you can see I have Metric in the box, but inch on my sketch lines? So I tried to deal with this by changing the metric value in the box, hoping that it would upgrade not only the value itself, but the sketch from inch to metric as well. To my great surprise the inch just changed its value accordingly to the changed metric value, but it's still presented in inch 🙂 Maybe it's a just a tiny bug or it's me

Have a nice day

Hi! I guess the document unit is set to be inch. Edit the part in place or open the part in its own window -> Tools -> Document Settings -> Units. Is it set to inch? If yes, change it to mm. All dimensions within the part will be displayed in mm. This setting controls how the dimensions will be displayed. But, the actual value you input can be any valid length unit. Inventor allows you to model geometry in mixed units and the geometry can come from different units too.

Many thanks!

Yes, You are right. I must have missed the settings in the assembly even though I'm

quite sure I changed them at some point. Maybe they weren't saved in the assembly

even though it seems that the settings were saved for the individual models.
