Is there a way to set the default dwg flat pattern export layers to your custom config instead of having to load the custom file every time?

Yes, this can be configured and saved in a .ini file.

Johnson Shiue I already have several ini files for different customers, I am wanting to change the defaults from the inventor standard to my most used custom settings so i dont have to load the custom file every time i want to export a flat pattern

Hi! I see the request now. You can actually alter it by changing the following file. Make sure you adjust the path to your Inventor release accordingly.

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2021\Design Data\DWG-DXF\FlatPattern.xml

Johnson Shiue As i have not done a lot of code work, i am having trouble locating where the layer colour parameter is changed in that xml. is it controlled there or does that xnl only control the layer name?

Hi! I am sorry I think I misunderstood the request. The layer colors can only be set within the .ini file, not the .xml file.
