I hate to be that guy, but it really does mess with my workflow. Changing a drawing view via the View Cube is especially slow, but others such as opening the Edit Dimensions dialog are also pretty slow. If there is a setting to reduce animation time like for Viewcube rotations in the modeling environment (Application Options), that would work as well.

Sometimes you just need a good old reboot.

Thank you, but these seem to only affect the modeling environment, not the drawing environment.

For me the cube still animates but the actual part/assembly change is instant if I change both settings.

Hi! If I understood this request properly, I don't believe it was animation related. The time spent on rotating ViewCube is probably showing the preview. You can simplify the preview in drawing. Go to Tools -> App Options -> Drawing -> Show Preview As -> Bounding box -> Ok.

Does it work better then? Many thanks!

Hi, no it doesn't. It seems that Inventor waits for the ViewCube animation to finish no matter what. I tried with a simple single extrusion part with no difference. Bounding box preview also doesn't make a difference. Again, because it seems to wait for the ViewCube to finish before I can execute another command.

Hi, I'm referring to the drawing environments, not the modeling environments.

For me just the cube animates but the actual part/assembly change is instant. You are correct about those settings only affecting the model enviroment.

We like the guy that doesn't care about useless "fluff" like that animation effect. 😉

Someone at Autodesk was good enough to give an option to turn it off outside of the drawing environment just doesn't seem like the same consistency was applied to the drawing cube.

But I also wonder what your computer system specs are?

That animation is under a second for me... Define "slow" for you please.
