Is Autodesk Application Manager Broken?

I've noticed some strange behavior from the Application Manager.  This is an example but there are others:

The "Update 1 for SP1" shows as not installed.  I've installed it about 10 times now.  I also manually downloaded it and installed it a couple times but same results.  There was no error message.

Now I don't know if the application manager is wrong or if the patch actually isn't installing.  Anyone else notice this?

Also, earlier I installed SP1 but it showed Update 1 and Update 2 as not installed.  I thought they were included in SP1.  Weird.

In my opinion I ignore (or don't rely on) the application manager and manage the updates myself.  You will find many posting around here about the application manager and the inconsistency it has.   But that's my opinion..

Thanks.  Normally, I wouldn't think much of it but that particular patch is supposed to address a specific issue I have to some extent but I have no way of knowing if it's actually installed.  Inventor doesn't indicate that it is and application manager says it isn't even though it certainly should be.  Oh well, just have to assume it is I guess, thanks.

actually ... under Control Panel/Programs

you click on the

"View installed Updates" go down to whatever version of Inventor you have installed and it'll tell you all of the installed updates there... for future reference

Thanks.  It shows up there so I guess it is installed.
