Double clicking on a IPJ file is not opening that IPJ files and setting it to active in Inventor.

I found that if you launch inventor, it helpfully re-adds the space where it shouldn't be.
If you close inventor, delete the space, and then set the key's permissions to be read-only for the group "Everyone", disable inheritance on permissions for that key, and then delete any permissions on that key that are full control, it fixes it permanently.
I'm not comfortable linking how to do that, since there's a small chance of screwing up your computer, but if you look up a guide, that's what you need to do.
Hi! This is indeed a known issue as of 2021.2 update. We are working on a fix as part of a update to2021.2. It should be available soon.
Many thanks!
Hola buena tarde, @johnsonshiue... Luis Fernando Bones desde Guayaquil - Ecuador. Quisiera conocer si ya existe la solucion a este problema?
@rvera.inatra There is no solution yet, if it appears then only with the next update. We are waiting for everything. In the meantime, try using @D0UGLAS advice, it will get almost as fast as a double click.
Those who do not understand how the DOUGLAS method works watch the video...
The exact same thing is happening to me. I went and change the registry entry and it works like a charm... until Inventor resets the entry to the one with space... so it works one time, and then you are back on square one... Anyone else has a suggestion? This is super annoying.
Of course if Autodesk already has a solution for this one issue, they could always issue (an old way of doing things)
a hotfix (just post it here for the ones that are squeaking the wheel)
Then you don't have to wait around for the next official "update"
just a suggestion
Hi,
I have same situation with my Inventor 2021.2 but I am checking list of fixing bugs and I can't not find that bug on the list.
Best regards,
Hi! There is a bit confusion on this one. It was not fully fixed in one of the updates and then there was a regression. As of 2021.2 update, the issue still exists. We are working on a fix. It should be available on the coming 2021.2.1 update.
I am very sorry for the confusion and trouble.
Happy New Year!
Many thanks!
Sorry Chris, this is very annoying issue.. is this for Mid December 2021 if it is I don't think I can wait that long?
The 2021.2.1 is now planned for mid-January 2021.
Apologies for the delay,
Chris
After installation and a restart, new release 2021.2.1 has fixed the problem. Bravo..
