ipart not generating names correctly

IV 2016, Windows 7 64 bit

I created an ipart "RUB RAIL, 3in.ipt" a few years ago. (I've attached a screen shot of the table)

This morning I added a variable for calcualting surface area, and generated the files. Instead of generating the children by the member name, it generated by all the variables. I deleted the new surface area parameter, and regenerated. Same style of naming for the children. I closed everything out and used a shadow copy to restore a versin of my ipart from a month or two ago. opened it up, generated files, and the naming of the children files was still the same. (See attached capture.png)

I updated to "Autodesk Inventor 2016 R2" update this morning.

I created a test part with a few basic variables. It named the children correctly. I added an appearance variable to that table, and generating te files still worked correctly.

I really want the ipart to name the part files it creates by the member name. Any ideas of what's happening or how to fix it..?

Thank you!

Upon further research, it looks like the file has been using the weird naming style for a little while now.

I've attached a screen shop of the shadow copy from this morning. It's in "Date Modified" order.

I need to get the file to save with the original naming style.

hit the options button in the ipart table.. See if anything there is doing it.

Here's how the options are set. (I have never looked at this menu before.. :$

I played with it a little, and the save window still shows a mouth full for a file name..

no idea really.. I use iparts all the time but have never had that problem..

are all those columns checked as a "key" column?

What if you open in excel vs the ipart table?

any other errors coming up?

can you post the ipart factory file?

any ilogic code being used?

Also look at the iproperties for the factory file... anything in there? posting the ipart file would really help.

It means your member name column is not set to be the filename.  Right mouse click on the member name column in your ipart table and tell it to be the filename.
