I posted a not a few days ago that my laptop had started crashing when inventor was opened. This problem was solved when one of the Autodesk support engineers had me open and close microsoft excel one time! Apparently there was some sort of problem caused by one of the microsoft updates and open Excel switched off or on something that was preventing Inventor from running.
I don't know if anyone else has had a similar situation but I thought I'd let you all know just in case....
