How about a gaming keypad like this: https://www.razer.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-orbweaver-chroma

You can also memorize the keyboard shortcuts...  See the Tools:Customize command in the Ribbon.

It's not really intended to do what you want, but it is perfect for the job...

https://www.elgato.com/en/gaming/stream-deck

This is basically a 15 button device that has LCDs in each button - so you can build all kinds of macros and commands. It even has nested options in it so you have the ability to embed UMLIMTED commands into it...

Yeah that was my original plan, but I’d have to lean a computer language and write code into autohotkey for it to work

With the new ability to have custom shortcuts now. I now use the Elgato Stream Desk.  It works good for my work flow. The only down fall is you must be using windows 10 so the Stream Desk only works on windows 10.

Great link @I_Forge_KC, thanks for sharing.

@gooch12013 that is pretty cool seeing the Inventor commands on the little buttons, glad to see it worked out for you. Is it contextual, meaning does it change between environments?

@Anonymous did you get yours setup and running as well?

By any chance, would you be able to share your icons or profiles used for the elgato streamdeck? I'm beginning to set up my stream deck XL and finding the exact icons seems to be difficult.

Thanks in advence!

So, gaining access to the icons themselves is a bit tedious, but totally doable.

1. Download "BeCyIconGrabber" - CNET has it

2. Fun the program and swap over to the Search tab

3. Click Browse and navigate to *\Autodesk\Inventor 20XX\Bin

4. Click the Recursively Search Sub Directories option

5. Click OK

6. Now make sure you're on the 32x32 search results and then scroll through until you find what you need

7. Right-Click on the icon and hit save

8. Set options accordingly (e.g. PNG, only 32x32, etc.)

9. Profit

Everything is there. If you're only doing a few dozen, this isn't so hard. If you're nesting the entire command structure into your Streamdeck... don't.
