Inventor tutorial files can not be opened

Hi,

I am new to Inventor. I am trying to learn it from this link in Autodesk website. https://www.autodesk.com/learn/ondemand/curated/inventor-quick-start-guide.

After downloading the tutorial files, when I try to open them, Inventor says Error 41. The files are not supported type or version while these tutorial files are .ipt and .iam files etc. There are many tutorials. I am not able to open any files in any of these tutorials. I am using Inventor Professional 2023.

Can anyone help me with this?

Hi

The archive name contains the software version. Parametric CAD programs are not backward compatible.

Yes. You need to install the software version required by the tutorial or later.

I do not have the 2024 version. Does that mean there is no other way?

Yes, you need to go to your Autodesk account, download and install the newer version.
