Hello everybody
I have been using some different versions of student Inventor , even after changing the version or uninstalling and reinstalling them I experienced some problems in all of them.
In parameter window, my software does nor accept Add Numeric
In Hole command, if I choose a threaded hole, it always shows a very narrow hole, like a 1mm dia threaded hole, does not matter which size of thread I define for that
In assembly, If I do Make Component, or Make Part, my program gets closed immidiately
Have anybody else experienced these problems?
any way to get rid of them?
thank you

Hi! This sounds like an install related issue. Either Inventor was not installed properly or a component Inventor and other programs relied on was removed. What is the Windows version you are running on? What Inventor release you have installed? Have you tried Repair Install? Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> find Autodesk Inventor Professional xxxx -> right-click -> Uninstall/Change -> Repair Install.
Does it help?
Many thanks!

Let's start in small steps.
What version of Windows OS do you have?
Do you have MS Excel installed on this machine and run at least once?

Hi! Could you check and see if you have .Net 4.6 or 4.7 installed?
Many thanks!

Hi! Certain functions of Inventor rely on the proper version of Microsoft .Net installed on the machine. In theory, .Net should be installed as part of the Inventor pre-Install process. However, in some cases, .Net was not installed properly or it was removed by other programs. I think you will need to go to Microsoft site and find .Net 4.6 or 4.7 install and manually install it from Microsoft. After that, please report your findings.
Many thanks!
