Inventor - *.rfa to sat or STEP conversion

Dear community members,

I’m reaching out to kindly request assistance with converting an RFA file to SAT or STEP format. Unfortunately, I currently don’t have access to Autodesk Revit, which prevents me from performing the conversion myself.

If anyone would be willing to help with this conversion, I would be very grateful.
Thank you in advance for your time and support.

Best regards,

Philip

viewer.autodesk.com can let you view the file for free, but I assume you wanted actual geometry from your question. In which case Revit is the only answer.

There is currently no way to import RFA to Inventor, not even Informed Design can help you here.

Thanks SharkDesign for your comment. That's right. I was needing the file to integrate into an assembly in Inventor. Another user was kind enough to convert it for me. Autodesk must do something about this in future version. I'm paying the Manufacturing Suite... I can't pay a licence for Revit only to convert a file once in a while... Thanks again.

I've spoken to the product team about RFA import before and they are very keen to do it, but it's all about getting it on a roadmap so it can be funded and a lot of that can be down to leadership outside of the product team making decisions.
