Inventor material option 'thermally treated'

Hi,

in Inventor 2022  opening the material section I can see the Physical info in the strenght section appears 'thermally treated' but I do not understand how this info impacts on the rigid matrix of the material It is important for FEM analysis.

checkig I do not see differences in strenght or youg modules...

Could you help me?

Note this option is not present in the new release

Hi Diego,

I presume it could be a setting for exported material (Revit?).

I see no real uses in Inventor or Nastran for this setting.

I create new material with different properties for different heat treat.

Ok this option do not change the material characteristics for FEM analysis

The part  with that material has not this property. We can't detect this characteristic also with I-Logic

Hi pineapplelaw1972, I know that is possible create new materials with different Physical Properties but the option/flag 'thermally treated in 2022' do not change the characteristic of that material or create a new iproperty to use e.g. to find a part with material  with thermally treated...

Yes, you've proof that it's useless and it's not available in new release.
