Inventor for cpu machine - esab

Hi autodesk forum,

I have question on which no one can help me except of you.

We started a new firm and bought plasma cutting machine - esab crossbow .

Is there an option in which to load files created by Inventor.
I read a lot in the forum and found something for post proccess. I should use Inventor CAM .

I thought I should use  the Inventor HSM, but i found nothing in the tool library for esab crossbow (plasma cutting) or something similar.
Please help and sorry if there is similar post.

Usually plasma has its software which use DWG or DXF to generate program.

Inventor HSM (not sure if all versions or just ultimate,etc..) have a 2D profile cutting operation that is used with plasma/waterjet,etc...

Then its just a matter of finding a post processor that will work with your machine and output the code it needs to run properly.

You likely want to try asking for a "ESAB Crossbow compatible post processor" here in this forum.

Esab seems to mention something about a Columbus CNC software.. Beyond that their documentation isn't too easy to find.. You will likely need to communicate with them first to see what your options are and then see if the Inventor/HSM programs/group has anything that can help you from that point forward..
