Inventor export to DWG losing properties.

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to export some Inventor work to be executed in Plant 3D, but when I export to DWG the file arrives in Plant 3D as a basic solid, completely losing its properties. What can I do to solve this problem?

Below is the step-by-step guide I follow to export.

Hi! When an Inventor part or assembly is exported to DWG, the resultant DWG file will contain the body geometry , its location, and the appearance. Other properties are not retained.

Many thanks!

I understand, I'm sad. And in a reverse situation, would it be possible to maintain the 3D plant properties when exporting to Inventor? I'm very interested in the integration between these two tools.

Hi Antonio,

At the moment, the data exchange between Plant 3D and Inventor isn't much different than AutoCAD and Inventor. Currently we are working on enhancing interoperability between Revit and Inventor.

Many thanks!
