Has anyone successfully used ACME Threads in a custom Content Center Library?
I added ACME Threads to our threads.xls file.
The information was from @karthur1 and this post:

I can create a Hole feature using ACME Threads.
I can create a Thread feature using ACME Threads.
So in a custom CCL, I copied an existing row for a Hex Nut 1-8.
I change the ANSI thread info to ACME info.
When I place the component into an assembly, an error occurs.
The component is created with an incorrect hole/thread feature:
Instead of an ACME 1-5 (1-inch with 5 TPI), the component is made with an ANSI Metric M Profile, Size=1.6, Designation=M1.5x0.35, Class=6H.
I attached a spreadsheet excerpt showing the changes I made from UNC to ACME.
Let me know if you need any other files from me.
I hope someone can explain how to successfully use ACME threads in CCLs.

Just verifying that the "thread.xls" that has the acme threads added to it is in the current active project file design data folder?

I know it works because I can create Hole and Thread features with ACME threads.
Just can't seem to use ACME threads in a CCL. I hope I just have something formatted incorrectly in the CC spreadsheet.
I have not tried to author any CC parts with threads. Weird that you are getting metric threads instead of the ACME thread you want. Have you authored any parts with just 60deg Vee threads?
I tried to author a part just by copying one of the existing hex nuts in the CC and editing the row information. I am getting the same error as you. The error is triggered when I edit the row named "Thread Description".
I am also not sure where Inventor gets the 3DA information for the thread. No edits in the family table effected the 3DA callout.
Perhaps a limitation of Content Center in using custom thread information?
Perhaps @johnsonshiue or @MjDeck could verify if custom threads can be used with a CCL.

I edited the THREAD.XLS file so that ACME threads was the only tab available in the file.
When creating the component, Inventor still used an ANSI Metric thread.
Where is Inventor getting the ANSI Metric thread info?

I am sorry to reply to you late. I am still checking with the project team to confirm if it is doable. I could be wrong but I suspect it is not doable. Other than modifying existing family table, I am not aware of the process to set up a custom thread.

change thread type workflow just verified on standard nut DIN 6921.
1. Using Content Center (CC) Editor create copy of an existing nut (similar to nut you are going to create) by the command Save Copy As (independant)
2. Edit Family table, change Thread Type column formula to your thread type in Thread.xls
3. Edit family properties, on "Paramater mapping" tab change THREADTYPE to yours
By now, all instances comming from your copied family should have your thread type (as my comming from standard DIN 6915 have GB Metic Profile once I made changes described above)
Last approach would be to create iPart that uses your thread type and publish it into Content Center

I have been out of the office the past couple of weeks.
So it would seem that you cannot have mixed thread types in a single library. That seem to defeat the purpose of the thread type column. Why bother having it if is fixed or preset in the family properties table?

If you would like to have more thread type in one Content Center family ... Sorry, it is not possible
Standard content like ANSI also uses separate family per thread type

I followed your instructions, but the Content Center error message (see message 1) persists.
I can still create hole and thread features with ACME threads, so I believe there are no errors in the Thread.XLS file.
Would it be possible to have a web session with you to review the steps?

What family would you like to use as a "source family". This one? I need to verify steps on family you are going to use as a "pattern"

Yes please, the Inventor ANSI library, Hex Nut - Inch component.
The Thread.xls need the same Column names like in the Family table. If one change in family table, Inventor couldn't find the needed column in Thread.xls. As result you get the mut with 3mm thread (as fallback to not crash the generation process from CC).
It is not just renaming columns in CC-Famlily...
