Inventor 32 bit Edition for education?

Can you put the 32 bit version of Inventor into the downloads. I installed the 64 bit version and you install libraries that interfere with the Office 365 click to run installations. I had specific issue is with the installlation of the Access 2010 Files 64 bit files. I know this is related to VBA support.

Microsoft Access DB Engine 2010. Inventor Pro installs both 32 bit and 64 bit.

This is why Im asking what error ...   There are fixes out there, just trying to see exactly what is going on to help ya ...


Are you up to date on all of the patches.  There are work arounds for the Office 365 too ..

the product is fine...it just disrupts my office products installations.

Gotcha ..so it's Office not Inventor having a problem. 

I don't think it's an Inventor 32 bit issue.... There area quite a bit (lots actually) who have Inventor and Office 365.  

Did some googling ... a lot of fixes for Autodesk and Access

@Anonymous  Also for future reference..  This is a user forum and we have no control of what Autodesk puts in the download section of the software.   In addition if you're referring to INventor 2016 (that you downloaded), there's not 32B version since its no longer supported.

It's an autodesk problem...

Autodesk makes the assumption that the user is using 64 bit office when using their 64 bit products.

This is a problem because the business world uses 32 bit office. Basically WIN32 will never die but Autodesk doesn't understand this and so the integration between the two products will create sparks through Windows. I've uninstalled Autodesk Inventor 64 bit because I need the product to work with 32 bit office. I lose performance but I'm able to read files from the rest of the world.

I won't be using autodesk products with windows anymore...unless they bring back the 32 bit editions. VBA 32 bit and VBA 64 bit are different. Using autodesk products with mixed 32 bit/64 bit software will crash my system. Autodesk has/had the tightest integration with Win32, I'm just surprised they just stopped 32 bit development.

I tried using 64 bit Office but it was like poking my eyes out...I couldn't read any files from customers and the product just errored constantly. I moved back to 32 bit to reconnect with the world. Performance gains were useless if I couldn't apply them to my enterprise.

That's your choice and it doesn't matter to us (the users)...  But have you tried posting your issue over in the installation and licensing forum?  Have you placed a case with Autodesk?

To your comment...  I'm just surprised they just stopped 32 bit development"...  32Bit has it limitations so why would you want it for a CAD workstation operating system..

Microsoft's is bad....Autodesk's is worse...I don't have time to spent hours navigating self-help stuff and navigating posts from the middle of the night. I need products that are tested properly. Frankly, product issues are too complex for frontline monkeys to handle.

Please don't take my comments personally. I'm business and technical. I'm not pure engineering. 32/64 bit issues is a recipe for headaches. I need to keep things simple. Office is the foundation for productivity. Autodesk  32 bit products are good enough for me. I have systems with 1TB of ram so I'll be fine. I've accepted that Win32 will never die in my lifetime...I'll try  the none-pro edition of Inventor...may that's the solution.

Sorry, one more comment I want to make. I was not referencing you with the "monkey" comment. Microsoft uses people in South East Asian and they can't even speak english. I don't know why they even bother putting a call centre there.

Are you actively using the Electrical Catalog browser to provide interoperability between AutoCAD-Electrical & Inventor ? That is the only thing which really comes into this discussion since it needs a 64-bit component for MSAccess.

If you don't need to use that then you can deselect it during Inventor install & then this problem goes away since you can then continue to use 32bit Office.

If you must use 32bit Autodesk software then you're only option is to use Inventor LT. There is no 32bit build for full Inventor anymore.
