What file type? ipt? iam? dwg? idw? autocad dwg?

No files or anything to look into?

Post a file before a save?

Post a file after a save?

Autocad DWG would make total sense.. others wouldn't..

Hi Arthur,

I am not aware of a process to do that. The only possibility is using the AnyCAD Reference workflow. You will need to have 2022, 2021.3, and 2018.3 update installed. Then 2018.3 can reference 2022 iam or ipt file as if it is from another CAD tool.

Many thanks!

What could have happened.
We have migrated from 2018 to 2022 both Inventor and Vault.
Now we work with 2022 software only. Any idea what is going wrong here. I mean what worklow could cause this?

Attach a file here that exhibits this behavior.

Hi Arthur,

As I mentioned earlier, I am not aware of a workflow or an ability that Inventor can save a current release file back to older release file. It simply does not work. As JD mentioned here, please share an example that exhibits the behavior.

Many thanks!

@bradeneuropeArthur

Is this a drawing file?  Do you have your Default Drawing File type set to Inventor .dwg Version 2018?
