Inventor 2022 BIM Component : DWG files units in temp folder.

Hello,

When exporting an assembly or a part in BIM component, dwg files are created in the temp directory. Each file corresponds to a 2D view of the exported component. For specific needs of my company, I recover these files.
The only problem is that the units of these 2D files are in inches while those of the exported component and the BIM file are in millimeters.
I have done several searches in case there is a default setting to change but without success.
Does anyone have a clue or an idea to help me find a solution to my problem?
Are these results of calculations internal to Inventor and not modifiable?
Thanks.
Vincent.

Does anyone know if Inventor uses a specific template to create the 2D files? Template or units would be in inches.

Thanks.

Hi,

While doing a search for all *.dwt files on my PC, I found a folder named Support in this location "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2022\Compatibility\Support" which contains several. For me only the files in this folder are related to Inventor, the others I found are related to AutoCAD or Fusion 360.
I tried to make an export having previously renamed this folder and the export worked. I also tried to do an export having previously changed the extension to .bak of all the *.dwt files but the export also worked. And this even by restarting the PC after the modifications.
Does having other identical files like acadiso.dwt for AutoCAD or Fusion cause Inventor to use those if it can't find the one in the folder named "Support"?
@johnsonshiue Do you have information that could help me in my research? Can you help me?
Thanks.

Accepted solution
Hello, @ThomasB44  found the solution to my problem.
Apparently Inventor uses the template by Standard.dwg to generate the files.
For our business needs this template had been deleted and a specific one had been created with another name. Inventor not finding the Standard.dwg template should generate the files without a template and should take the default units.
By recreating a Standard.dwg file in the template folder with the length units in millimeters, the DWG files created during the export do indeed have units in millimeters.
Hope this can help someone in the future.
