Inventor 2020 (RTM & 2020.0.1) - Bug – Factory /Member Scope Disabled

In my Inventor (patched, then as an experiment unpatched) the Factory / Member scope drop down is disabled for both Non iParts & iParts/iAssemblies. On a colleague’s Inventor 2020 PC it is enabled at all times and therefore actually useable. Using 2018/2019 onm my PC the drop down is enabled at all times.

Off the back of another issue with Inventor 2017 & 2018 (see https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/windows-version-1903-and-inventor-2018-issues/td-p/881...) I think this issue may stem from my recent update to Windows 10 1903 which updates Dot Net to version 4.8. ALL current versions of Inventor are built on previous Dot Net versions

Can someone at Autodesk do some testing?

Inventor Reset Utility

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2020\Bin\Inventor.exe /install

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2020\Bin\Inventor.exe /register

Still an issue

Hi! The behavior does not look right to me. I will work with the project team to understand it better. The commands should always enabled.

Many thanks!

Hi! It has been three years since my last reply. I don't recall what was the outcome. Please share your files (zipped) here or send it to me directly [email protected]. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

Hi @johnsonshiue this is still an issue in the latest 2020 releases. It happens in my case when I use the addin Tube and pipe in normal use. After activating any  tube and pipe document the member scopes will become grayed out.

I have an ilogic button set up to activate the scope otherwise it would be a close inventor and reopen to resolve the issue.
