Here demonstrator is saying INTERSECTING two work planes. How can two parallel work planes be intersectrd? Link provided

Hi!

By deffinition... two planes or lines will intersect in the infinite... 🙂 ... just a deffinition.

Is that because of the theory demonstrator is using that word? Area of the planes are well define so that there no talk about infinite here.

.... and his right!!!! the plane INTERSECTS THE SOLID between those to surfaces....

Simply a poor choice of wording.

By definition: two parallel planes NEVER intersect, not at infinity not at infinity^2.

The point of the video is that the plane is midway between the parallel end faces of the part (intersecting the part) and will always be mid-plane between the end faces - even if one of them (or both) is moved.

The user created workplane is a "child" of the two planar end face "parents".

But what about at infinity^infinity Smiley Tongue

You can see when demonstrator clip on top face and bottom face of the object, MIDDLE PLANE is automatically appearing. I wish to know whether there is any condition behind this.

I am asking this because I can apply same technique to other drawing if it is necessary.

Now, that's a question!!! 🙂

No, there's no special conditions.

To create a middle plane between to planes (or planar faces) you just have to do this:

Seletc "create new plane", then select both planes (or planar surfaces)... and that´s it, you will create the middle plane.

Tip: The planes doesnt have to be parallel with each other. It´s possible to create the middle plane (Bissector) between two angled planes (or surfaces)

Also you can use the filte below

I haven't tested, but I would assume there has to be some sort of symmetry between the two faces selected.

No, i guess not... any two planes have the bissector... no special requests

Midplane between two planes command is doing the job. But why demonstrator is not doing such way?

Because you don't need to use the filter........ you can just pick new plane tool, and then select both faces....

Go have some training, will help you a lot with these basic questions...
