Installing Australian Standard (iFeature) steel section library

Hello forum

I have installed Inventor 2017 from the Autodesk website.

However there does not seem to be Australian Standard (AS) content in the "insert iFeature" section. These files have an *.ide extension.

The file path for the installed features are under C:\Users\Public\Documents\Autodesk\Inventor 2017\Catalog\Geometric Shapes.

The workflow that I used with Inventor 2015 was (in a part file *.ipt), Insert iFeature > select (2D) AS geometric shape > extrude to length.

I cannot seem to replicate this workflow with Inventor 2017.

I can place AS sections from Content Centre in an assembly but I want to build a multibody mechanical frame in a part file using AS steel sections.

Please find screen shot of ide files

Have I overlooked something?

Thanks in advance.

Basically what I am trying to achieve is the ability to insert AS Geometric Steel Section (2D) profiles (available from a library) into a sketch. The profiles can then be extruded to create a multibody mechanical frame.

Did you download or make the .ide files yourself? Is there any chance you could share the files?

Cheers
