How to turn a 3D solid into a shell

hi,

I have a 3D part that I need to edit, in order to become a shell (no thickness). How can I do it? I already tried the shell command, but it only reduces the thicknesses to me.

I thank you in advance,

Best regards,

Either delete a face or use "copy object" i think...

Just another option:

Use Thicken, (Surface mode) to select each face you need for the shell surfaces set distance to zer0.

If it is all the faces, just drag a selection box over the entire solid.

Delete the solid: Use Delete face tool, in solid mode to delete all the solid (and not a few faces).

In solid mode, just select the solid.

That´s it, here's the result.

Just delete one or all of the faces you don't want to keep.

That will automatically turn it into a SURFACE, which is a 'shell without thickness'.

Hi Hugo,

I guess you would like to have an enclosed surface body instead of a solid body, right? You can use Thicken/Offset command, set output to Surface, select all the faces, and set the distance to 0.

Many thanks!
