How to roll up a hose around cylinder/tube?

Hi, 

Is it possible to roll up a flexible hose around a cylinder/tube?

Like in this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_Mlk2jDUok 

I was able to create a pipe but I don't know how to wrap it around a cylinder.

But in the video you linked it is actually a Trace in Dynamic Simulation.

I know it's a trace on the video, but I shared it to show the path my hose will have to follow.

Can a hose created with this option be pulled and coiled like in the video?

You will have to do a Coil and an Extrude and then Animate Parameters.

How much experience and training do you have with Inventor?

What version of Inventor are you using?

Can we transform the material of a hose created with the "coil and extrude" option into a soft and flexible hose?
I am using the 2020 version and have only a few months experience with this software.

As @JDMather mentioned using coil and extrude would get you the coiled hose in a part environment.

If you want to create it in a tube and pipe environment and apply the material styles you can derive the 3d sketch to use as the route for flexible hosing.

As for simulation I would think bringing in tube and pipe add in would further complicate this as it will be a difficult enough task in the normal part environment.

This model uses a 2D sketch wrapped around a cylinder and flat face to create the path for a sweep.  Animated using the Studio environment.
