In a 2d drawing (meaning an idw/dwg file) if you don't want to see a dimension simply delete it.. 

Or select the dimension and assign it to a different layer (maybe create a new layer) and simply turn the visibility of that layer off..

 

If by 2d drawing you actually mean a part sketch then no you cannot hide individual dimensions.. You can turn the visibility of all dimensions in a sketch off though by simply right clicking on that sketch and selecting visibility

@mcgyvr  is correct.

Maybe if you explain why you want to do this, we can offer a better alternate way to do what you are trying to accomplish.  😊

Hi! Inventor drawing is quite similar to AutoCAD drawing in some ways. You can simply create a Hidden Dim Layer. Then move those dimensions that you want to hide to that layer. Lastly, make the layer invisible.
