Hello

By using, simplify, I made ipt file out of iam, in order to make a surface model as below.

Is there a way to delete the solid parts on this simlified ipt file?

The picture from Youtube is different than yours because it shows FEATURES being deleted, not elements from within the SOLID BODIES folder. You have two options:

1) Right-click your derived feature, select Edit, and then, at the original assembly, Exclude Components:

2) Use 3D Model > Delete Face, with Lump option ON to select and remove the elements you don't need:

Thank you so much!

I found out another way.

I saved the file as step file and opened the step file. I was able to delete solids in this way.

Thank you

Hi! The YouTube video shows the Solid "features" are deleted. But within Solid Bodies or Surface Bodies folder, there isn't a delete command. You will need to delete the features that create the bodies. Another approach is to use Delete Face -> Lump selection. This will allow you to delete the body geometry but the body definitions will stay.

Many thanks!
