Hello, for everyone.

How to create a teardrop sheet and assign the correct weight with ASTM A36?

Not sure exactly what you're asking.  Just draw the teardrop and use the face command to create the profile in sheet metal and set the material to A36.  Does that answer your question?

@andrewiv

If I set a teardrop plate with a density of 7,850, it won’t show the real weight because of the grooves this type of plate has.

OK, I understand now.  What I do for materials like this is make a new material based on A36, create a 1m square and then adjust the density of the material so that it has the correct weight.  For the 5mm thick version of this it would be 41300g/5g = 8260g/cm^3.  Then double check the weight to make sure it is 41.3kg.

Are you asking how to model the actual geometry - or will you use a cosmetic appearance?
