By creating an iPart, a table with default values for "Variant" and "Part Number" appears at the bottom of the "iAssembly Author" window. The defaults for these fields can be customized for the current file using the Options button:
However, I want to be able to change the iAssembly options globally and not have to adjust them every time I create an iPart. Is there a way to do this?

I'm not aware of any way to set these as defaults, this may be an idea for the Inventor Ideas.

Hi! As Chris mentioned, there isn't an option to pre-configure these options. However, you can create an iPart template. Simply open any ipt file and make it an iPart. Within the template, select the desirable options on the table. Next time you use the template to create an iPart, these options will persist.
