How many text styles are you using?

Hello all,

Just curious, for the dimensions and notes on the "face" of your drawings (i.e. not border, logo, title-block layout stuff), how many different "styles" do you guys have for each font (and perhaps your total in your styles)?

Do we need to specify the "justification" differently for each place that the text style is used (i.e. do your dimensions need to use center-bottom justification and your notes need top-left in order to make annotation placement easier)?

We have templates that have been created/edited/compiled since 2009 (ye olde' Fabrication templates) and we're considering jettisoning every template and style and starting over (except the materials library, I would NEVER ask anyone to do that again). I'm just trying to gather some information to formulate a plan.

My company is currently updating our templates. We are going to create different templates for each build style we have. Our typical text justification is centered. We have three text styles; standard, large text, and xlarge text. I attached an image of the files from Inventor 2025 that I created. Current total of templates is two; decimals and fractions.

I will be the person making the updated templates. My plan is to create a template for each of our four build styles. The text styles will be in all of the different templates, with the default being for the particular build style. I will set the text justification to centered. Do not delete the old files until you have created atleast one new template. It can be time consuming to create blank templates.

Easier to set smaller tables: BOM, hole table etc.

Start simple and add more when needed.
