How do I remove combined feature

Hello,

Forum

I would like to remove grill and thicken feature from my back cover of tapcard hosing.

I suppress them, I get a solid. I think its because of boundary patch.

Can someone anyone help me remove the extrude fill (solid) feature, I want it to be an extrude cut.

Thanks,

Haziq

Hi! There are several Combine features in the part. Which one are you talking about? Could you edit the Combine feature and change the operation type?

Many thanks!

@Anonymous,

I am not sure which extrude fill feature you are talking about, but Direct Edit, delete command might help you out.

Hope it helps!

@Anonymous my first thought would be:

  • Drag you EOP (End of Part) up to the Grill2
  • Delete Grill2 & Thicken4
  • Drag EOP back to bottom.
  • This will leave you with sick Combine4 and Extrusion45.
  • Delete them both and uncheck the consumed and dependent boxes.
  • Delete Sketch68.

This will get you back to before the grill without any sick features.

Remember that every feature you create has to have a reason and will have other parts that might be dependent.

The farther down the rabbit hole you get the harder it will be to change something at the beginning, especially in a single multi-solid part.

Hello,

johnsonshiue

Sorry for not labeling my workflow.

I personally do not know which one as I didn't give a name to all of my features in modal tree.

I will implement it in my next design.

Thanks for taking the time to view my part.

Yours Sincerely,

Haziq
