I'm doing a project on inventor and i want to create an 1:1 copy project but i want it to be independent and that has no relation to the initial project

Hi, Kacper has the methods above. If you search the forums this comes up a lot.

If you want a fully independent copy where it is not possible to open the parent model, try Pack-n-Go.

Basic workflow:

  1. Pack-n-Go the current top-level assembly to a directory outside of the current project file search scope.
  2. Change to the new project file from the Pack-n-Go.
  3. Open the top level model and see that all files resolve to the new directory structure.

Hi! On top of what experts already mentioned, these data replication workflows do not apply to adaptive relationship unfortunately. At the moment, there isn't a workflow to relink to a different adaptive source except file-resolving to a new adaptive source file.

Many thanks!
