Hi JDMather,

Thanks for your prompt response.

The actual model cylinder dimension

  1. Outer circle diameter      8.6mm
  2. Inner circle diameter       7.85mm
  3. Thickness of the circle      0.375 (0.36-0.39)mm

4.horizontal distance between centre to centre    8.6mm

  1. Vertical distance between centre to centre      8.6mm

This is a honey comb composite. On the top and bottom laminated with fiber glass tape.

I planned to do FEA by Nastran.

For FEA  I need to model the cylinder as surface has a diameter 8.225 mm.

I need to see the load capacity ?

I would like to recommend you to use sketch driven pattern. You could create the sketch with sketch points to define the position of pattern occurrences, and select the body plus sketch, and all the pattern occurrences will be created based on the sketch points.

Hi River,

Kiri sent me a separate email about this case. I believe it is solved. He wants to be able to open up the top and bottom faces of the cylinder pattern. Here is the solution using Delete Face.

Many thanks!
