Have you tried the Inventor Reset utility? Start > Inventor 2023 > Reset Utility.
I have not had any issues with my home screen going away after the updates.

No that option is not working. Still having a blank layout.

I've only started working with IV2023 so i've started on IV2023.2 and i have a really slow home screen but i get that blue circle to show it's loading the recent file list...
Maybe it could help if you clear the recent file list in the registry?
You can find it under this key:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion27.0\Recent File List
I'd suggest exporting the "recent file list" folder before deleting its contents, just so you can go back if needed.
As always, make registry edits at your own risk.
Hope it helps.
