Good morning,

I am trying to use the Hole and Thread app in the tool bar but when I try to click on a known hole, it doesn't work. How can I fix this? I am using Inventor 2018. Thanks!!!

Are you saying the dialog doesn't expand to show you the thread stuff?

When I click on the tab, it seems to be active but when I try to click on the hole, nothing happen. It doesn't recognize that there is a hole there.

If you are talking about the same model based on your other postings, again this part is dumb..  Do you see any holes in your model tree?

What is the "Hole and Thread app"?

Is that a custom addin you have loaded?

In Inventor there is a button for to allow you to create "Hole features" and another button just for "Thread" features..

Is that what you are talking about?

What do you mean it doesn't work?

Can you create a regular through hole but cannot create threaded holes?

Are you getting any error messages?

Please provide more details and also include screen shots (windows snipping tool is great if you arent' familiar with it) showing what you are trying to do..

I am sorry for trying you guys patience today. I understand that you have more important things to do. I will lookup some videos on the subject. Thank you all for the help. I am beginning to understand how you guys do this. I am a cmm programmer and sometimes, I get a broken model or a model with no print. I then have to all the back work before I can write the program.

We enjoy helping here so don't worry about that..

but you need to remember that when using the internet for help we aren't sitting next to you.. we can't read your mind either.. we haven't been racking our brains for hours with this problem..

You have only provided very incomplete information so far (or made it confusing by spreading the incomplete information over multiple posts)...

One clear/concise/detailed post complete with the actual Inventor file is best..

Use screenshots and do not assume we have any idea what you are talking about or what your problem may me..

Try to use proper terms and avoid generalizations/short cut speak,etc...
