Hello guys,

I am working on a project for my thesis. In the previous design which has done by another person, the holes and screw diameter is different, is it correct or not ? Hole is M3 screw is M4 ?

Of course it's WRONG at lest the way your suggesting is UNLESS the originator of the test/ exercise used the diameter the tapping drill 3mm (actually 3.3mm) for an M4 thread this information should be indicated in the hole note. as tapping drill size along with the actuall thread size. M4-0.7 Drill Ø3mm or somthing like this

The video indicates a Clearance hole for an M3 fastener.  (not a tapped hole)

In either case - this would be incorrect for an M4 fastener.

This is a clearance hole - so simply place the M4 and run Interference analysis.

I recommend taking a class in Machine Tool operations as well as your design and engineering classes.

Anything less, and you will not be properly prepared for the professional world on graduation.

Also, when you make Screencast recordings - it is best to move the Browser to the right side of the screen as it is otherwise obscured in the video.
