Help Converting 3d Solid into Freeform

My friends and I are having a competition. We are making nerf guns, and the most realistic gun wins. They have to be legal with the appropriate orange markings on the gun to be judged.

Anyway, I need help making this stock. It is too complex for regular fillets, and too curved (at least from my limited experience) to be made from a box freeform solid. I was thinking about converting the faces of the solid I made into a freeform object, which would, by default, fillet the edges. By using freeform, I can establish symmetry and easily change the taper of the stock leading up to the end of the barrel.

Any help on how I could convert this object into a freefrom would be appreciated. The trouble I have ran into so far is that the multiple edges do not pair correctly. One pair of edges does, but then it messes up the next one.

Thanks,
riverat303

First thing I notice is that there are no dimensions on your sketch?

Second thing I notice is that it appears you are trying to cut from a big piece of stock.

It might be easier to concentrate on smaller areas and combine all the features together.

How much training has your class had?

I would consider this a second semester - advanced project.

I'm no talented Freeform artist, as can be seen in the video.

But I'd start with an initial single face, that is arrayed by grabbing and moving an edge (Alt key pressed down)
