This one is interesting! There might be a simpler way to achieve this but this is what I could think of. Look at the screencast. I also attached my part (2017 file). It has different dimensions but it's the same principle.

haven't had time to try it as I'm now on an acad job 😞 but had a quick look at the screencast and it looks like what I am after...

Whoops, looked at my model again and made a mistake (see picture).
Ignore the splits of the helix and create a new helix after splitting the tangent arc, new part attached.
