I am trying to use the harness in Inventor 2023.
I added two pins at the end of my part and defined the direction as suggested from a lot of tutorials I looked at.
Now my wires exit from the same side.
Is there a way make one wire going in one direction and the other one in the opposite direction?
I tried to change the orientation, but it switches for both.
Also, what is the best way to create a wire if I have one starting part with a pin and not a second part (the wire will be loose)?
Thank you in advance.

Did you author the brown box, or is that an out of the box component?
It has been a while since I messed with Cable Harness, but if someone authored that part as a connector, is the insulator direction the correct way? Can you switch the direction with shift...I don't remember
If I switch the direction, both wires change but they keep going in the same direction.
I am trying to have the two wires going to the opposite direction.
When placing the wire and that particular pin, did you use the arrow to "Flip" the connection orientation? Each pin when selecting the point has the flip option...Does that help?
The arrow shows up, but I can't flip it.
Is it because the direction is defined? How do I know if it's defined and how do I remove it?
Termination Type (Crimp) needs to be changed to Insulation Displacement, then you can chose outward direction to be both directions.
Yes as @Schredhammer has said and I stated in post 4 in regards to the orientation.
I changed to insulation displacement, but I am not able to flip the direction of the second wire.
I don't know what I am doing wrong.
My other PC is in a long reboot/update it might be a while, but @Schredhammer might be able to assist.
When you create/edit the wire, toggle the outward direction in the wire window
I finally was able to make it work.
What happens if I don't setup the connector? Would it work anyway?
It would not. Inventor needs these inputs so it knows that you want it to be a wire connector and either a single direction or multi direction connector.
