Hardware for Inventor 2016

Which processor and memory configuration would you say is best for Inventor 2016, Xeon with ECC RAM or i7 with non-ECC RAM?

We dont do any analyzation of parts or anything like that we just create puzzle pieces and fit them together (gross simplization)

I know this will potentially start a flame war and get ridiculed for being answered hundered of times already but since its Inventor Answer Day I thougth I would give it a shot.

Thanks,

Mitchell

Hi,

This is a valid question. Based on the outline spec you provided, both looks good hardware. I would recommend you to use the system requirements below as a guideline for RAM and graphics which are the two crucial hardware requirements for optimal performance.

You could also check the below article for more info around this,

I'd suggest giving this topic on the general forum a read through.
It has lots of post with system specs since it's about a benchmark for inventor.
It might give you some good ideas on what seems to work best with inventor.
