general tables snap on each other

Hi,

Is it possible to snap general tables on each other? I have 5 tables that I would like to align but it's always a pain in @ss to get it positioned nicely with the borders on each other.

Is there a way to make them snap each other? And not only the border?

Please kudo if this post was helpfull

There are actually several ideas requesting this functionality:

Add some support to those and maybe it will get added someday.
For the moment, visual alignment is the best we can do....

Is it possible now?

I'm still on IV2021, where it isn't possible, i haven't been able to test IV2023 yet so i'm not 100% sure but there is no mention of it in the "what's new".

Doesn't seem like a very advanced feature to make.... I wonder what is taking so long.

That's always the big question, in the meantime the best we can do is make sure we vote on the related ideas and hope they'll get round to it in an update...

*fingers crossed*

Not an ideal solution but I started a new drawing & dropped several general tables in. I then edited the drawing border to add a vertical line, saved the border & snapped the tables to align with the new line. Lastly, I edited the border again to make the line 'sketch only'.

Sounds messy but it only took a couple of minutes to do.
