Hey all you forum visitors, it's Friday!

I haven't been at work this week because of some renovations to my home, so i didn't have anything until i started something yesterday evening.

Of course when i make something on short notice i end up with some funny weird shape, and this time is no different. Smiley Very Happy

Was playing around with freeform, especially with the bridge function and the mirror function, and ended up with this fun looking shape.

Freeform_fun.jpg

Put it in Max and had some fun texturing it, the render itself took a little over 7 hours at 1920x1080 so i've only got the 1 image...

It is a hollow (thickened) object, which i thought might be fun to do a fluid simulation with... but didn't have any time for that.

I'll post the model for those that want to have a look at what i did or want to play with it. (IV2019 + Step file)

Have a good weekend!

I was cleaning out some storage boxes and came across this steam engine kit I bought some 20 years ago.  It is a Jensen Model 76 that I bought when I was still teaching high school drafting, with the intention of having my students model & build it as a project, but never got around to using it.

So, I decided to grab the verniers and measure it up and model it with the 2018 release.

Here's a quick screen render of the assembled model.  I think I might just have to actually put it together now.

Had my render of the Fibonacci circular pattern x 6 ready to go but a galvanized pipe decided to start leaking and ruined my day.

Was a happy accident as that could have been much worse left unchecked, never a dull moment with an old house!
