Frame Reference Skeleton does not update correctly

Hello,

I have a problem described in the title.

Generally the rail should look like the state it loads.

Please try to change H1 parameter (raise of slope) in main skeleton file... from 100mm  to 300mm... the reference skeleton will not follow the changes in "3D Sketch1".

Please help...

Hi Tomasz,

Many thanks for sharing the files! I took a quick look at them. It does look like a bug to me. Somehow the Frame sub lost associativity with some of the curves in the skeletal part. This does not make sense to me. I will work with the project team to understand the behavior better. In the meantime, you may need to delete the members and insert it again to re-establish the link.

Thanks again!

I can not see the file because I have IV 2018, something similar happened to me, the skeleton0001 was not updated when modifying my skeleton, the error was because I had linked my skeleton parameter to my main assembly, once the folder was deleted Parameters linked from my skeleton in my assembly correctly updated my skeleton0001 when modifying my skeleton. regards

Thanks, yuvilo_, but this is not the case.

I removed all the links before the file was sent here.

Hello Tomasz,

thank you for reporting this issue. I can reproduce mentioned behavior from scratch as well. Let me inform our developers.

Hi! Please share the files (iam and ipt files) here or send them to me directly (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

I think I'm having the same issue here.

Updated my master part and none of my frame generator parts are moving. The reference skeleton does not math the lines it was defined from.

Updating and Rebuild All does nothing.

I think I fixed it?

I just installed the latest update, restarted the computer, loaded the assembly -> Rebuild All and BOOM! It all snapped in place.

Nice

I nearly had a heart attack.

Hi Andrew,

Are you on 2020.2?

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

I'm working in Inventor 2022. And am looking for a solution to the above issue. It appears my frame reference skeleton does not update with the master skeleton. I've just applied the latest Feb 18 2022 update with no joy.

There is also a strange thing happening, when I place new members onto the visible skeleton. The parts are placed and appear significantly offset. As if the reference frame is 300m away.

Hi! I vaguely remember there was a regression in 2022 RTM build. It should have been fixed on 2022.2.2. Please make sure you install 2022.2 update followed by 2022.2.2 update.

If it still does not work, please share the files here or with me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com.

I can take a look to understand the issue better.

Many thanks!

Hola a todos, sucede el mismo problema en la version de inventor 2024.1

Hello,

looking into our tracking system I see comment: "Validated using R 2022 update for newly created assembly. Not working for old datasets".

So Autodesk fixed Frame Generator update of curved frames triggered by skeleton change, but unfortunately for new assemblies only. Just revalidated using R 2024.1.1 (I repopulated 3D skeleton). See image taken using R 2024.1.1. please.
