frame generator trimming/extending

I'm currently using inventor2015, in the frame generator, I'm working with round members and I've tried different methods of trimming/extending but nothing seems to work, can someone please advise what I'm doing wrong or explain to me how to do it?

For trimming, at least, try the Notch Frame Member tool.

Also look at the "Lengthen/Shorten" to change a Frame-Gem member length.
