Frame generator member of same sketch are not parallel

Situation: I have created a frame on an angled plane. The members are C6X8.2 The members are not in any special kind of orientation, simply coped into each other, it is very frustrating and I can't seem to understand why it is happening.

Interestingly, I have another frame, on an angled plane, that is exhibiting the same behaviour. Has anyone seem this before? Or know of a solution?

I've attached some images.

Hi

I have had some funny things happen in frame generator. The other day I had to rebuild half my frame because it offset itself by 1mm, does not sound like a lot, but it messed everything up.

Anyway, try the Align option.

Hi Jimmy,

Without seeing the actual files, I can only speculate. It is possible the sketch is slightly off. Or, there is an alignment issue. To ensure consistent alignment, you need to edit the member and click on Align button and select a static planar reference (an origin plane or axis). So that the members will keep the same aligned direction regardless of change in the skeletal sketch.

Many thanks!

Wow! This worked! This is the best news to get first thing at work in the morning! This has frustrated me for several days and I've been dreading coming back to this part of the job lol

I've never used that align option before. I always just rotated the parts using the angle parameter. Don't I feel like a n00b  :0)

Many thanks to you, Johnson Shiue!
